Owner & Founder
Brittany Thrower is the owner and founder of Salon du Sud. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Brittany has had a love for the beauty industry for as long as she can remember. From doing her friends’ hair for middle school dances to high school homecomings and proms, she always knew her passion would one day become something more.
After graduating from St. Michael the Archangel High School in 2008, Brittany and her high school sweetheart, Matt, found out they were expecting twins! With a growing family and a dream she was determined to follow, Brittany enrolled in cosmetology school, graduated in 2011, and began her career at a well-known salon in Baton Rouge.
Just three years later, Brittany took a leap of faith and set out on her own. With the love and support of her husband, Salon du Sud was born.
Meaning “Salon of the South,” the name reflects exactly what Brittany wanted to create — a warm, welcoming space where everyone feels comfortable and at home. Over the years, she has carefully built a talented team that shares that same vision.
For Brittany, Salon du Sud is about more than just hair. It’s about the relationships built along the way and creating a place where clients and stylists alike feel like they belong. She is incredibly grateful for her family, her team, and every client who has helped make Salon du Sud what it is today.
